Emersons Green is a residential area on the northern outskirts of Bristol. It was developed from farming land during the 1990s and sits between the historic villages of Mangotsfield and Downend.
Emersons Green is six miles from the centre of Bristol and ten miles from Bath. Bristol Parkway and Temple Meads railway stations are both around six miles away. The 48,49 and X62 bus services run between Bristol city centre and Emersons Green. The Bristol & Bath Railway Path (cycle track) is nearby. There is also a route north along the ring road.
There are three pubs in Emersons Green, these are The Emersons Green Beefeater, The Langley Arms and The Mill House. Just the other side of the A4174 is The Folly.
There are large retailers at The Emersons Green Retail Village including: Sainsburys, Boots Chemist, Lidl, Argos, Brantano and Peacocks. The library is near Sainsburys supermarket.
Emersons Green has two schools: Emersons Green Primary School and Mangotsfield Primary School.
